Job summary

Linwood Meadows Care Center in Visalia, CA is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant for the PM shift on a full-time basis. Salary ranges from $17.50 to $19.00 per hour (BOE).

The CNA will deliver routine nursing care under supervision, support residents with daily activities, and document vital signs and observations. We value a compassionate, team-oriented environment and provide opportunities to participate in staff events, recognition programs, and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Active California CNA certification is required.
• CPR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility and dining.
• Measure and record vital signs, weights, and intake/output as instructed.
• Respond promptly to call lights and check residents needing assistance.
• Observe changes and report to the Charge Nurse.
• Maintain clean and orderly resident rooms and equipment.

General Purpose

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides routine daily nursing care and services to assigned residents in accordance with each resident's assessment, care plan, and facility policies and procedures.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility, and dining


• Measure and record vital signs (TPRs), weights, and intake/output as instructed


• Respond promptly to call lights and ensure residents unable to call for assistance are checked frequently


• Observe and report changes in resident condition, skin integrity, or behavior to the Charge Nurse


• Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges as directed


• Provide restorative and rehabilitative care under nursing supervision


• Maintain resident rooms, equipment, and personal belongings in a clean and orderly manner


• Follow infection control, safety, and confidentiality policies at all times


• Report accidents, incidents, concerns, or potential violations immediately


• Foster a warm, respectful, and positive environment for residents, families, and coworkers

Supervisory Responsibilities

• This position has no supervisory responsibilities

Qualifications

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

• Active California Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required


• CPR certification preferred

Skills & Abilities

• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English


• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with compassion and professionalism


• Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills

Physical Demands

• Ability to lift, push, pull, and/or move up to 25 pounds


• Frequent standing, walking, bending, and assisting with resident mobility


• May be required to assist during emergency or evacuation situations
