As a CNA for Homeland Center's Personal Care, you contribute to our culture of care and trust by providing hands-on care and assistance for residents within an independent living setting.

This is a Part-Time opening for First (6:00 am - 2:00 pm) or Second Shift (2:00 pm - 10:00 pm). This opening requires a valid Certified Nurse Aide certificate and registration with the State of Pennsylvania.

Personal Care CNA Responsibilities include:

• Maintaining resident stability by checking, observing, and recording resident condition and vital signs.
• Providing assistance with residents' personal hygiene.
• Supporting residents with ambulation, feeding, positioning, and transporting.
• Ensuring resident comfort by answering call bells promptly and providing water and nourishment between meals.
• Documenting resident care accurately in electronic medical records or other forms immediately after care.
• Protecting resident information by maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA regulations, and encouraging peers to do the same.
• Following all Nurse Aide Certification standards, resident care instructions, safety policies, and all relevant regulations, morals, and ethics.
• Maintaining current certification, attending training, and staying competent in nursing assistant skills.
• Promoting a cooperative work environment and assisting team members to achieve resident care goals.

Personal Care Certified Nurse Aide Requirements:

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a state-approved CNA training program.
• Prior experience with geriatric residents is preferred.
• Basic understanding of medical terminology.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

• Valid and current CNA license from the State of Pennsylvania.

Computer Skills:

• Experience with electronic charting programs or willingness to be trained.

Other Skills and Abilities:

• Basic English language skills for reading, comprehension, and communication.
• Basic mathematical skills for measurements and calculations.
• Reasoning skills to follow instructions and solve problems.
• Compassion and caring attitude.
• Ability to understand and follow resident care directions.
