Job summary

Valley Health System is seeking a Certified Nurse Aide for the Orthopaedics department. This per diem role supports routine patient care under supervision of an RN or LPN, maintains a safe environment, and may help orient new CNAs. A state-registered CNA and BLS certification are required, with HS diploma preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Registered Nurse depending? Certified Nurse Aide must be listed on the state registry as required.
• BLS Certification – American Heart Association Healthcare Provider required.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine personal care duties for patients under supervision of a RN or LPN.
• Maintains a safe environment and reports any problems.
• May act as a preceptor in orientation of new CNAs after gaining experience.
