Job summary

CHI Mercy Health in Roseburg, OR is seeking a Certified Nurse Assistant to support patient care under RN direction. You will assist with comfort, safety, and essential daily tasks while upholding our mission of dignified, high-quality healthcare.

You will perform ADL assistance, patient transport, and contribute to the plan of care as part of an interdisciplinary team, with a focus on compassionate, detail-oriented service and timely communication.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Nursing Assistant Program.
• Oregon CNA License.
• AHA BLS within 30 days.
• High School Diploma or GED (preferred).
• Experience in a hospital setting (preferred).
• Six months of related work experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Passes and picks up meal trays and provides additional nutritional support as needed.
• Responsible for ADL activities including turning or position change, bathing, grooming, linen changes, toileting and ambulation.
• Observes vital signs and records intake and output; reports any abnormal findings to the RN.
• Responds to call lights/alarms and rounds to ensure patient needs are met.

As a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA), you will be a cornerstone of patient care, directly contributing to comfort, safety, and recovery by providing essential support under RN direction. Every day, you will deliver compassionate basic care, assist with patient transport, and actively contribute to the patient's plan of care as a vital member of our interdisciplinary team, upholding the highest standards of conduct and patient well-being.
