Responsibilities

Job Summary

The Caregiver provides support, assistance with personal hygiene, and household tasks to help individuals remain in their own homes.

Specific Duties

• Report observations of the client's condition to the Agency Director or accounts manager. Notify immediately of any incidents or accidents.
• Drive safely, comply with traffic laws, and wear a seat belt when traveling for work.
• Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, hair care, dental care, nail care, skin care, and transfers between bed, chair, and wheelchair. Assist with toileting needs.
• Help with household tasks essential to the client's personal care.

Education and Experience

Experience Desired

• Successful completion of a competency evaluation.

State-Specific Requirements

• AR: Must have completed a 40-hour aide training course approved by the Arkansas Department of Health and be certified as a personal care aide.

Skills

• Ability to work flexible hours as needed.
• Ability to work independently in diverse home situations.
• Strong communication, writing, and organizational skills.
