Job summary

Harmony Senior Services in Suffolk, VA is seeking a Resident Assistant/Personal Care Aide to provide quality care and assist residents with activities of daily living. The role involves reporting incidents, maintaining policies, helping with meals, mobility, and daily tasks in a skilled nursing setting.

This position requires a High School diploma or GED, PCA program completion, strong communication, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain it within 60

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must have completed an approved personal care aide program per state regulations.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Must be organized and able to work with all levels of personnel.
• CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living.
• Report incidents and care concerns to appropriate staff.
• Perform housekeeping and dining room duties as directed.
• Respond promptly to resident calls for assistance or emergencies.
• Assist in planning activities and ensure resident safety and comfort.
