Job summary

Virginia Mason Franciscan Health is seeking a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) to be a cornerstone of patient care, delivering essential support under RN direction to enhance comfort, safety and recovery. You will assist with basic care, support patient transport, and contribute to the interdisciplinary care plan, upholding the highest standards of conduct and patient well-being in our hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Nursing Assistant program, upon hire or
• Military medical specialty training and, upon hire and
• Certified Nursing Assistant: WA, upon hire
• Basic Life Support (through AHA) - CPR, upon hire

Responsibilities

• Provide patient personal care and basic comfort, assist with activities of daily living.
• Perform monitoring, reporting and documentation of clinical activities; observe changes and inform RN.
• Assist with admission, discharge and transfer of patients; transport and orient patients.
• Maintain a neat, stocked work environment; manage supplies and equipment.
• Maintain a safe patient environment following safety and infection prevention guidelines.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and growth opportunities.
