Job summary

Dignity Health's Glendale Memorial Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Assistant (PCA) to support a patient care team. You will provide direct, compassionate care and assist nurses to ensure patient comfort and safety.

Daily duties include taking vital signs, assisting with ADLs, documenting intake/output, collecting specimens, and maintaining patient rooms while reporting changes to nursing staff per safety and infection-control protocols.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate / GED required.
• California Certified Nursing Assistant License (CNA) required.
• Basic Life Support Cert (AHA BLS Cert) required.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care under the supervision of a licensed nurse.
• Vital signs, ambulation, ADLs, routine treatments per hospital policy.
• Reports changes in patient condition to the licensed nurse and documents care.
• Maintains patient rooms and ensures safety and infection-control protocols.
