Job summary

Sequoia Transitional Care in Porterville, CA is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for part-time roles across AM, PM, and NOC shifts. Pay range is $18-$19 per hour, with a 99-bed facility setting.

We welcome both experienced CNAs and new grads. Candidates must hold an active California CNA certificate, communicate clearly in English, and be able to learn electronic documentation systems and pass a background check.

Qualifications

• Active California CNA certification.
• Experience in skilled nursing or post-acute care preferred; new grads welcome.
• Ability to communicate clearly in English, verbally and in writing.
• Pass a background check and obtain medical clearance.
• Basic computer literacy and willingness to learn electronic documentation systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate CNA care across AM, PM, and NOC shifts as needed.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living and documentation.
• Collaborate with care team to maintain safety and quality of care.

What We're Looking For

• Active CNA certification in the state of California
• Skilled nursing, rehab, or post-acute care experience preferred – but new grads welcome
• Passion for working with seniors in a caring, respectful manner
• Ability to communicate clearly in English, both verbally and in writing
• Basic computer literacy and willingness to learn electronic documentation systems
• Ability to follow instructions, think critically, and work independently when needed
• Current medical clearance and ability to pass a background check
• Team-oriented mindset with reliability and compassion
