Job summary

Central Nebraska Veterans' Home is seeking part-time CNAs for the AM shift (6:00 AM–2:30 PM). The role involves delivering basic nursing care, administering medications, and documenting treatments for elderly residents under supervision.

A one-week orientation is provided. Minimum qualifications include an approved 76-hour Nurse Aide training and competency evaluation, plus completion of the Medication Aide course within the first year.

Qualifications

• Must complete a state-approved 76-hour nurse aide training and competency evaluation program.
• Must successfully complete the Medication Aide course and be listed on the Medication Aide registry within the first year.
• Background checks and pre-employment drug screening required.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic nursing care under supervision of a licensed nurse.
• Prepare, administer, and document medications and treatments.
• Maintain dignity, privacy and confidentiality of residents; adhere to HIPAA and infection control practices.
