State of Nebraska's Central Nebraska Veterans' Home in Kearney is seeking part-time CNAs for the AM shift (6:00 AM–2:30 PM). Join a team dedicated to quality elder care; orientation is provided during the first week.

The role includes administering medications under supervision and maintaining dignity and confidentiality, with pay between $24.63 and $34.88 per hour plus a $3 differential per hour and a $200 commuting bonus for travel over 30 miles one way.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Completed a state-approved 76-hour nurse aide training course and competency evaluation program.
• Listed on the Nebraska Nurse Aide Registry.
• Must complete the Medication Aide course and be listed on the Medication Aide registry within first year of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality care for each member to maintain quality of life.
• Maintain dignity and confidentiality of members.
• Perform routine nursing duties in the general care of elderly members in the Veterans Home.
• Prepare, administer and document oral and topical medications and treatments.
• Under supervision, provide basic nursing care, administer medications, and apply treatments for Veterans Home members within relevant regulations.
