Job summary

Bel Vista Healthcare Center is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide direct patient care including bathing, feeding, grooming and daily activities as directed by the RN/LVN. You will help maintain comfort and safety, follow safety protocols and facility policies.

Responsibilities include assisting with mobility, monitoring patients, collecting condition information, and ensuring accurate meal orders according to dietary needs. BLS/CPR and background/drug testing are required.

Qualifications

• Must hold a CNA certification and BLS/CPR.
• Successful completion of background check and drug test.
• High level of patience, empathy and compassion.

Responsibilities

• Bathing and dressing patients.
• Collecting information about conditions and treatment plans.
• Examining patients for bruises and wounds.
• Turning or repositioning bedridden patients.

As a certified nursing assistant's your responsibility is to assist patients with their daily activities. Your daily responsibilities will be to deliver direct care to patients (bathing, toileting, feeding, grooming, etc.) as directed by the RN or LVN in charge. Your role will be to maintain patient comfort and safety. You'll also need to follow all departmental policies and procedures as well as safety, environmental, and infection control standards.

Responsibilities

• Bathing and dressing patients
• Collecting information about conditions and treatment plans from caregivers, nurses, and doctors
• Examining patients for bruises and other injuries/wounds
• Turning or repositioning patients who are bedridden
• Lifting patients into beds, wheelchairs, or exam tables
• Cleaning and sanitizing patient areas
• Changing sheets and restocking rooms with necessary supplies
• Ensuring patients or residents receive appropriate diet by reviewing their dietary restrictions, food allergies, and preferences
• Stay up to date on CNA training and facility policy and procedure
• Requirements:
• Current BLS/CPR card
• Successful completion of background check and drug test
• High level of patience, empathy, and compassion
• Ability to work long hours on one's feet often doing very physical work
