Job summary

Volunteers of America National Services (VOANS) is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in Eckert, Colorado, to provide daily living assistance and restorative care for our aging participants within a PACE program. The role requires a Colorado CNA license and at least one year of elder-care experience, with travel to participant homes and mileage reimbursement.

The position offers full-time schedules (Mon-Fri, 4 or 5 days, 8 or 10-hour shifts) and comprehensive benefits

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Current Colorado CNA license required.
• Minimum of one year experience with frail or elderly population.
• Valid driver’s license and transportation required.

Responsibilities

• Assist participants with activities of daily living and restorative care.
• Monitor health status and report changes to the Personal Care Supervisor.
• Travel to participant homes as needed; participate in Day Center activities.

Pay Range: $19.50 - $23.50 per hour, based on previous work experience.

Schedules: Full-Time, Monday - Friday, 4 or 5 days per week; 8 or 10-hours shifts

Travel Required: To participant homes. Mileage reimbursement provided!

Must be 21 years of age or older.

What You'll Bring (Requirements)

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Current License as Certified Nursing Assistant (C.N.A) in the state of Colorado require.
• A minimum of one year’s experience in working with the frail or elderly population required.
• Must have a valid driver’s license, proof of insurance and have means of transportation.

What You'll Be Responsible For

The Certified Nursing Assistant is responsible for providing and assisting participants with activities of daily living, restorative and supportive care necessary to the preservation of assisting participant's in living independently in the community. Assists in monitoring and reporting the health status and providing a safe environment for the PACE participants of Senior CommUnity Care. Functions as a member of the Interdisciplinary Team. This position may require travel to participant homes.

• Assists participants with Independent Activities of Daily Living (IADL’s) including but not limited to grocery shopping, cleaning, changing bed linens, laundry, meal preparation and other routine household care as assigned. Reports changes in participant’s condition and needs to the Personal Care Supervisor (or designee).
• Assists with participant activities in the Day Center, including meal service and clean-up.
