Job summary

Prairieview Lutheran Homes in Danforth, IL is seeking an Overnight CNA to provide compassionate resident care during 12-hour shifts. You’ll assist with daily activities, follow individualized care plans, document vitals and care updates, and maintain a clean, safe environment with a focus on dignity and comfort.

The role requires completion of a state-approved CNA program, current Illinois CNA registry, CPR certification, and strong customer service skills.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of a state approved CNA training program.
• Active CNA on the Illinois Health Care Worker Registry.
• Hold or obtain a valid CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Carry out and assist residents in ADL’s.
• Follow plan of care as outlined in residents' individual care plan.
• Document plan of care as required; vitals, weights, I&O, etc.
• Practice proper infection control protocols.
• Documentation is completed timely and accurate.
• Keep residents’ room clean and free of clutter.
• Provide transportation to activities and meals as required.
• Carry out resident’s individual restorative plans as documented.
• Report all concerns to the appropriate person.
• Make rounds to assure residents are safe and comfortable.
• Minimize overtime and process resident charges timely and accurately.
• Maintain an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest and calmness in the department.
• Participate in in-service education as required.
• Maintain professional appearance and demeanor; observe dress code policy.
• Demonstrate honesty, integrity and trustworthiness in all tasks.
• All other duties as assigned.
