Lower Cape Fear Lifecare in Wilmington, NC is hiring a Hospice CNA to join our home-based care team. You will provide direct patient care including bathing, peri-care, dressing, and assist with meals, while documenting at the bedside and coordinating with RN case managers.
Typical schedule is Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM after orientation, with 5–7 patients per day and 45–60 minutes with each patient. Mileage between visits is reimbursable, and training is conducted by a Registered Nurse.

Hospice CNA
1. Education: High school diploma or equivalent and completion of CNA course. Must attend 12 hours of in-service training supervised by a Registered Nurse on a rolling 12-month basis. Competency of the CNA is assessed in the home every 14 days. The CNA does not need to be present unless there is an area of concern. Otherwise, an onsite evaluation occurs once a year. Has not had a lapse of 24 consecutive months where the aide has not provided services for compensation.
2. Licensure / Certifications: Current certification with State Board of Nursing, or current registration with Department of Facilities Service in the State of North Carolina/ South Carolina.
3. Experience: No prior experience required. Two years experience with hospice, home health or oncology preferred.
