Lower Cape Fear Lifecare in Jacksonville, NC is seeking a Hospice CNA to provide direct patient care in patients\' homes, assisted living facilities, or skilled nursing facilities. You will document care in the EMR, assist with bathing, peri-care, dressing, mouth care, toileting, incontinence care, repositioning, and meals, while maintaining a clean and safe environment.
After orientation, typical schedule is Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM.

Hospice CNA
1. Education: High school diploma or equivalent and completion of CNA course. Must attend 12 hours of in-service training supervised by a Registered Nurse on a rolling 12-month basis. Competency of the CNA is assessed in the home every 14 days. The CNA does not need to be present unless there is an area of concern. Otherwise, an onsite evaluation occurs once a year. Has not had a lapse of 24 consecutive months where the aide has not provided services for compensation.
2. Licensure / Certifications: Current certification with State Board of Nursing, or current registration with Department of Facilities Service in the State of North Carolina/ South Carolina.
3. Experience: No prior experience required. Two years experience with hospice, home health or oncology preferred.
