Job summary

UPMC Western Maryland invites applications for a Certified Nursing Assistant/Patient Care Technician on the Ortho/Trauma Unit. You will provide routine patient care, assist with activities of daily living, and support the nursing team in a fast-paced environment.

Expect rotating weekends/holidays with a sign-on bonus up to $5,000 for eligible candidates. Applicants will be placed on the PCT career ladder based on experience and education, with opportunities for growth and development.

Qualifications

• CNA certification required.
• Provide direct patient care under RN/LPN supervision.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness in patient areas.

Responsibilities

• Provide activities of daily living (bathing, feeding, dressing, toileting, ambulation) as directed by RN/LPN.
• Take vitals, patient weights, and monitor intake & output.
• Deliver nourishments and assist with feeding as needed.
• Report status changes and equipment issues to nursing staff.
• Maintain CPR certification and follow safety policies.
