Penrose-St. Francis Health Services seeks a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) / Nursing Unit Secretary to provide essential direct and indirect nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
Graduate of a Nursing Assistant Program.
State registered CNA license.

Responsibilities

Monitors the electronic record for new orders and coordinates completion with nursing staff and other departments.
Uses computer technology to access and exchange data (lab results, interdepartmental communications).
Documents vital signs, input/output, nutrition, hygiene, weights and other patient care; reports findings to RN.
Performs clerical duties, maintains logs, coordinates services as needed.
Greets patients/visitors and directs them to the appropriate location.
Provides quality patient care including comfort, hygiene, safety, transport, and nutrition/elimination support.
