Job summary

CommonSpirit Health is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide essential direct and indirect nursing care under the direction of a Registered Nurse. Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of a Nursing Assistant program.
• State registered CNA license required.
• Six months CNA or healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality patient care including comfort, hygiene, skin care, safety, transport, and nutrition/elimination needs.
• Promptly answer call lights and report patient status changes to the RN in a timely manner.
• Accurately document vital signs, intake/output, nutrition, hygiene, weights, and chart changes for the RN.
• Assist with delegated patient care tasks under nurse supervision.
• Deliver patient-centered care with sensitivity and collaboration with the health care team.
• Communicate concerns regarding hazards or errors to the health care team.

• Provides quality patient care, including comfort and hygiene measures, preventative skin care, safety measures, transport, and nutritional and elimination needs.
• Promptly answers call lights and responds to patient needs. Reports patient status changes and needs to Registered Nurse accurately and in a timely manner.
• Accurately documents vital signs, input/output, nutritional intake, personal hygiene, weights, and other patient care performed and reports findings promptly to Registered Nurse; maintains thorough and confidential maintenance of patient charts and records.
• Assists with safe and appropriate delegated patient care tasks which are directly supervised by the nurse.
• Provides person-centeredcare with sensitivity and respect for the human experience in a collaborative fashion with other team members.
• Communicates concerns regarding hazards or errors related to patients to the health care team.

Job Requirements

Required

• High School Diploma/G.E.D.
• Graduate of a Nursing Assistant Program
• State registered CNA license

Preferred

• Six (6) months previous CNA or healthcare experience.
