Job summary

Sanford Health is seeking a compassionate Nursing Assistant for an inpatient unit at Marshfield, WI. You will provide patient-centered nursing care under the supervision of an RN or LPN, and help with daily living activities in a supportive, team-based environment.

The position offers a stable hospital setting, with a starting rate of $18.00–$24.00 per hour and a $2,000 sign-on bonus. Eligibility for benefits is described for full- and part-time roles.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
• CNA is preferred. Maintains required department-specific competencies and certifications.
• If working in North Dakota, must be on the North Dakota Nurse Aide Registry upon completion of training/competency validation or within four months of employment.
• If working in Wisconsin, must be on the Wisconsin Nurse Aide Registry with current work eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance with basic health care needs including bathing, grooming, toileting, and eating, while supporting emotional and spiritual needs.
• Record vital statistics, blood glucose levels, and other basic health information.
• Assist with patient transfers and ambulation.
• Prepare and clean patient treatment areas, living areas, and medical equipment.
• Dispose of biomedical waste in accordance with standards and policy.

Department Details

The Surgical Abdominal/ENT & Palliative Care Unit is located at the Marshfield Clinic, also called 4 North, in Marshfield Wisconsin and is a 25-bed unit with 4 additional Palliative Care designated beds. This unit admits and discharges patients for scheduled diagnostic procedures, tests and surgeries related to the abdomen and Ear Nose and Throat as well as complex wounds.

Work with all specialties such as: General Surgery, Surgical Oncology, wound care, Plastics, orthopedics, Palliative Medicine, hematology/oncology, nephrology, ENT, Gastroenterology, hospital medicine & Rehab, etc.

If working in Wisconsin, must be on the Wisconsin Nurse Aid Registry with current work eligibility.
