Visiting Angels Reading is hiring CNAs/Nurse Aides to support clients in the Reading area, including Sinking Spring and nearby towns. The role emphasizes compassionate, client-centered care with flexible schedules and opportunities for advancement.

As a CNA Nurse Aide, you will assist with personal care, meals, mobility, and daily activities while maintaining safety and dignity. Training in dementia/Alzheimer’s care is available to expand skills.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 6 months experience in caring for seniors or disabled adults.
• Possess a valid driver’s license, car insurance, and a reliable vehicle.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent time management and ability to juggle duties.
• Reliable transportation to client homes as scheduled.
• Comfort with housekeeping and cooking duties while adhering to dietary constraints.
• Willing to comply with state and office health and safety standards (background check).
• Compassion, understanding, and a desire to brighten clients’ days.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene.
• Acknowledge health changes and report to supervisor.
• Assist with light exercise or walks and mobility support.
• Plan and prepare meals with clients.

As a Visiting Angels CNA Nurse Aide, you'll play a vital role in enriching the quality of life of clients and supporting their wellness in accordance with their custom care plans. This can include:

• Helping clients with personal care and hygiene
• Assisting clients with light physical exercise or walks
• Planning and preparing meals with clients
• Handling light housekeeping duties
• Reporting health changes or unusual incidents
• Providing pleasant, supportive companionship
• Responding quickly and responsibly in emergencies
• Accompanying and supervise clients during shopping trips
• Reminding clients to take prescription medications appropriately
• Providing assistance with mobility and ambulation both at home and during appointments/errands

CNA Nurse Aide Job Requirements:

• MUST have high school diploma or equivalent
• MINIMUM of 6 months experience in caring for Seniors and/or Disabled Adults professionally or personally.
• Posses a Valid Drivers License, Car Insurance, and a Reliable Personal Vehicle to use to transport clients
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are a must
• Have excellent time-management skills and can juggle multiple duties at once
• Reliable transportation to get to and from client homes at the times you're scheduled to provide care
• Feel confident in your physical endurance when it comes to things like carrying groceries and physically supporting a client
• Feel comfortable performing housekeeping and cooking duties while adhering to applicable dietary constraints
• Are willing and able to comply with state and office-specific health and safety standards (ex., background check)
• Bring compassion, understanding, and a desire to brighten the day of each client to the table
