Job summary

Rochester Regional Health is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for the DeMay Living Center in Newark, NY. This part-time night shift offers specialty dementia care with a supportive nursing team and a 24-hour per week schedule.

Qualifications

• Must be currently certified in New York State as a Certified Nursing Assistant.
• Minimum age 18.
• Physical requirements include moderate to heavy movement, lifting 20–50 lbs, and ADL assistance.

Responsibilities

• Reads care card for assigned residents and follows nurse guidance.
• Provides personal care: bathing, toileting, feeding, transferring, ambulating.
• Assists with resident laundry, room upkeep, and media access.
• Directs questions to supervising nurse and supports family as needed.
• Encourages residents’ independence in daily living activities.
• Performs duties per policy and with supervision, including vital signs and specimen collection.
• Observes and reports changes in resident condition to the nurse.
• Transports residents within the facility and participates in in-service trainings.
