Job summary

Providence Swedish Issaquah is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide general secretarial and clerical support in patient care areas while assisting nursing staff and coordinating unit activities.

You will interact with patients, families and physicians, assist with patient care under RN supervision, and help monitor alarms and oxygen saturation readings. The role includes orientation support for new staff and duties assigned by charge nurse or nurse manager, on-site at Swedish Issaquah.

Qualifications

• Washington Nursing Assistant Certification required at hire.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association required at hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform general secretarial and clerical duties in patient care areas.
• Interact with patients, families and physicians; liaison among health care team.
• Assist nursing staff in coordinating unit activities.
• Assist in delivery of patient care under RN supervision.
• May set alarms and observe oxygen saturation readings.
• Oversee orderliness of work areas and order forms and supplies.
• Assist with orientation of new staff and perform other duties as assigned by charge nurse or nurse manager.
