Job summary

MaineGeneral Health in Augusta, ME is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide patient care under the supervision of an RN, in alignment with the organization’s policies, values and mission. This 36-hour-per-week night position includes three 12-hour shifts, floating between acute care med/surg floors.

You must hold a valid CNA certificate from the State of Maine and demonstrate excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic patient care activities within the scope of practice. Assists patients with meeting their emotional, physical and spiritual needs
• Greets patients and visitors. Answers, screens, and routes telephone calls. Calls codes, pages, and overhead announcements as requested
• Reports abnormal findings or changes in physical, mental and emotional conditions to nursing staff
• Assists with keeping unit and patient rooms stocked, clean, and orderly
