Job summary

Maple Grove Wellness & Rehabilitation in New York is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to support residents with daily activities and therapies. Responsibilities include assisting with hygiene, transporting residents, and responding to call lights, all while following infection control practices.

Responsibilities

• Prepare residents for therapy, activities, physician visits, religious services, etc., and assist with transport as needed.
• Answer residents’ call lights promptly.
• Attend in-service educational programs and meetings as directed.
• Assist residents with hygiene and bathing.
• Follow infection control procedures when isolation is necessary.
• Chart required information every shift.
• Present a professional image through dress, behavior and speech.
• Adhere to company standards for resolving consumer concerns.
• Protect consumer/resident rights.

QUALIFICATIONS OF CNA:

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant / CNA license in the state of Missouri.
• Current BLS/CPR certification as required by state.

GENERAL DUTIES OF CNA:

Prepare residents for therapy, activities, physician visits, religious services, etc., to include transporting residents to/from such activities.

Answer residents’ call lights promptly.

Attend in-service educational programs, on the job training programs and meetings as directed.

Assist residents with proper hygiene

Bathe residents as assigned and in accordance with established facility procedures (encourage showers and other self-help measures/activities).

Follow infection control procedures in accordance with established facility policy when isolation techniques are necessary.

Chart required information very shift.

Presents professional image to consumers through dress, behavior and speech.

Adheres to Company Standards for resolving consumer concerns.

Ensures that all consumer/resident rights are protected.
