Job summary

Ciena Healthcare at Regency at St Clair Shores is hiring full-time Certified Nursing Assistants to care for residents under the supervision of licensed nurses. You will assist with activities of daily living, monitor health needs, and support a safe, comfortable environment within a regulated facility.

Shifts include day, evening and midnight. Benefits include medical/dental/vision, 401K with matching, life insurance, and tuition or student loan reimbursement. CNA certification required.

Qualifications

• Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant in good standing with the certification board or graduate of a state approved CNA training program and passed state approved competency examination.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Computer skills are required and a background check per state/federal requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct resident care, including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, incontinent care as applicable, oral hygiene and feeding.
• Measure and record vital signs, weight and intake/output as directed.
• Assist residents with mobility, transfers and positioning using proper body mechanics.
• Respond promptly to call lights and resident needs; report observations to licensed nursing staff.
• Support residents’ independence and dignity while ensuring safety and comfort.
• Maintain accurate documentation according to facility procedures and infection control guidelines.
• Provide emotional support and companionship to residents.
• Provide non-resident care such as cleaning and maintaining a clean environment.
