Job summary

The Bungalows at Nevada is seeking a Resident Care Associate (CNA) to join their team for the Mon-Fri 2pm-10pm shift. The role involves providing hands-on care and emotional support to residents in assisted living and memory care settings, following each resident's PSP and ensuring a safe, home-like environment.

The RCA will participate in service plan development, monitor hydration and nutrition, and assist with activities while maintaining resident rights and safety.

Qualifications

• High School education preferred.
• Previous experience working with elders or disabled individuals preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age to perform personal care aspects of RCA position.
• Knowledge and experience in Assisted Living industry and Dementia care or Skilled Nursing preferred.
• Ability to work weekends, evenings and flexible hours for peak service delivery times.

Responsibilities

• Participates in development and updates of Personalized Service Plans; attends service plan review meetings with families.
• Follows the hydration schedule established for residents during the shift.
• Completes resident meal attendance sheets; ensures room service or dining room dining as needed.
• Knows and complies with all resident rights.
• Initiates, assigns, and assists with activities as appropriate.
• Checks assigned residents daily for cleanliness, clothing, continence, and changes in condition.
• Uses proper sanitary procedures and universal precautions.
• Checks resident rooms daily for cleanliness and neatness; double-checks high risk rooms as needed.
• Assists with laundry rooms and common areas; checks for cleanliness and hazardous chemicals; coordinates with housekeeping as needed.
• Completes all ADLs for assigned residents per PSP.
• Responds promptly to security system and resident call bells; takes appropriate action.
