Qualifications

• Must possess current, active Nurse Aide Certificate from Texas Department of Health.
• Must be in good physical and mental condition and willing to work with the aged population.
• Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm and be able to handle residents with varying needs.
• Must be able to read and write English with clarity to communicate with residents and teammates.
• Experience working as a caregiver in memory care is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform Nursing Aide procedures as directed by Charge Nurse.
• Conduct resident rounds during shift change.
• Identify resident problems and report to licensed nurse immediately.
• Complete assignments timely and accurately within shift.
• Deliver direct care including rehabilitative activities per care plan.
• Assist residents with bathing, grooming, toileting, feeding and vital signs.
• Perform light housekeeping to keep rooms clean and orderly.
• Ensure residents receive meals and assist with transportation as needed.
• Record care provided accurately and timely.
• Observe infection control procedures and collaborate with care team.
