The James L. West Center for Dementia Care in Fort Worth, TX is seeking a full-time Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide care for residents with dementia. The center operates 12-hour shifts (7:00am–7:15pm and 7:00pm–7:15am) on a rotating two-week schedule with every-other weekend off.

A CNA school is offered, with paid participation during training. Applicants must have a 12th grade education and Texas CNA certification, strong English skills, and a team-oriented attitude.

Formación

• Must possess a 12th grade education.
• Must be a licensed Certified Nursing Assistant in accordance with Texas law.
• Must read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Ability to provide age-appropriate care and support teamwork.
• Ability to make independent decisions when warranted.
• Must interact tactfully with residents, families, staff and the public.
• Willingness to learn and incorporate new nursing practices.
• Must relate information about a resident's condition.
• Able to move and assist residents, with lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Willing to assist in emergency evacuations.
