WhiteStone: A Masonic & Eastern Star Community in Greensboro, NC seeks a compassionate CNA/Medication Aide to provide resident-centered care. You will assist with daily living activities, administer medications, and document care.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of a state-approved Geriatric Nursing Assistant training program.
• Current registration with the state CNA registry.
• Successful completion of a state-approved Medication Aide course and continuing education.
• Previous geriatric nursing aide experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively, follow instructions, and accurately document care.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, toileting, transfers, and other daily living activities.

We're looking for a compassionate, dependable, and hospitality-minded Certified Nursing Assistant / Certified Medication Aide to provide exceptional, resident-centered care.

We currently have openings on 1st and 2nd shifts.

What You'll Do

As a CNA/Medication Aide, you'll help our residents live safely, comfortably, and as independently as possible while building meaningful relationships along the way.

CNA Responsibilities

• Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, toileting, positioning, transfers, and other activities of daily living.


• Provide treatments, perform tests, collect specimens, and document care as directed.


• Respond promptly to resident call lights and requests for assistance.


• Help maintain clean, safe, and comfortable resident spaces.


• Encourage resident independence and participation in activities and wellness programs.


• Communicate observations and changes in resident condition to the nursing team.

Medication Aide Responsibilities

• Safely prepare, administer, and document medications according to physician orders and established procedures.


• Verify medications, properly identify residents, and accurately document administration.


• Monitor and report medication errors, reactions, or concerns to the charge nurse.


• Administer PRN medications according to established protocols.


• Obtain and record vital signs as needed.


• Follow all requirements related to controlled medications.

What We're Looking For

Physical Requirements

This position requires frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, reaching, and lifting throughout the workday. Employees must be able to assist with transferring, lifting, turning, and positioning residents with assistance, transport residents using wheelchairs or other equipment, and lift up to 50 pounds as required.

The position may involve exposure to blood and bodily fluids, offensive odors, and occasional combative behavior.
