Night shift differential

Job summary

NMC Health in Newton, KS is seeking a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) or Patient Care Technician (PCT) to join our medical unit. You will work under the supervision of an RN/LPN to provide basic patient care focused on comfort and well-being.

The position is full-time (36 hours/week) with night shift from 11:00pm to 7:00am and a 20% shift differential. Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent; PCT certification is required or in progress.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required (PCT track) or in progress.
• Successful completion of the PCT certification course (PCT track).
• Active Nurse Assistant certification or PCT certification is required.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic patient care under RN/LPN supervision.
• Monitor patient condition and report changes to the primary nurse.
• Assist with activities of daily living and basic nursing procedures.
• Participate as a member of the interdisciplinary team.

NMC Health is looking for a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) or Patient Care Technician (PCT) who will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN)/Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide quality care that is focused on the comfort and well-being of the patient and family. The Assistive Personnel (CNA or PCT) provides basic healthcare and support to patients in a manner that would lead to high levels of patient satisfaction. Other functions of the position may include monitor technician, activities of daily living and basic nursing procedures. The PCT functions as a member of the patient's interdisciplinary team.

Location: 600 Medical Center Dr, Newton KS 67114

Full Time: 36 hours per week

Shift:Night 11:00pm - 7:00am

Pay: Based on experience; with a 20% shift differential for Night Shift

Education:

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required to be
• completed or actively in progress. (PCT ONLY) Successful completion of the PCT certification course.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Participates in routine activities of patient care for the specific unit/department population.
• Performs delegated care tasks in a timely, efficient manner and under the guidance of the RN/LPN.
• Contributes to continuity of care and effective communication by reporting care provided and changes in the patient's condition to the primary nurse or designee in a timely fashion.
