Job summary

Nebraska Medicine on the 40-bed Med Surg and telemetry unit seeks a dedicated CNA or Nursing Assistant to support post-operative and complex orthopedic patients. You will perform delegated activities and assist nursing staff in achieving patient care plans.

Qualifications

• Must be 16+ for CNA; or 18+ for Nursing Assistant.
• Certified Nursing Assistant certification in Nebraska.
• BLS certification required by AHA upon unit orientation.
• Demonstrated effective communication skills.
• Preferred: basic knowledge of medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Perform delegated patient activities as assigned by licensed nursing personnel for the plan of care.
• Support patients on med-surg unit with daily activities and telemetry care as directed.
