Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Previous Nursing Assistant experience or completion of a formal Nursing Assistant course.
• Prefer minimum one-year recent experience in medical/surgical in an acute care hospital.
• Certified Nurse Assistant certification is required.
• Basic Life Support certification is required.

Aufgaben

• Accountable to the licensed nurses, Charge Nurse, Nurse Manager and Orthopedic Service Line Director.
• Promotes compliance to infection control, legal and safety standards.
• Promotes teamwork with a positive attitude and working relationships.
• Organizes and prioritizes care based on patient needs and preferences.
• Performs basic patient care: vital signs, meals, hygiene, mobility, specimens, catheter care, and related tasks.
• Provides care with sensitivity to cultural needs, rights and privacy.
• Recognizes situations needing nursing supervision.
• Answers call lights promptly.
• Participates in Performance Improvement activities and quality control.
• Assists the licensed nurse in data collection and documents per hospital standards.

Ausbildung

High School Diploma or equivalent
