Position Summary: The CNA provides direct and indirect personal care to patients under RN supervision, understanding and responding to individual patient needs. Collaborates with the healthcare team to ensure safe patient care. The 'Specialist' status may include duties of Unit Secretary and Telemetry Tech, with training provided on the job.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED preferred
  • Current CNA listing with North Carolina Division of Facility Services, with no substantiated abuse, neglect, or misappropriation findings
  • American Heart Association BLS Certification
  • For Telemetry Tech role: Completion of telemetry monitoring course or competency training
  • For Unit Secretary role: Completion of basic unit secretary tasks training

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift at least 50 pounds
  • Visual acuity including color vision and ability to see small details
  • Normal hearing ability
  • Ability to reach overhead
  • Remain calm and effective during stressful situations
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to operate equipment and carry supplies
  • Ability to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods
