Job summary
Sunrise Senior Living in Virginia is hiring a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide hands-on care in our skilled nursing community. You will support residents with daily activities, monitor health, and collaborate with licensed nurses to uphold dignity and safety.
This role emphasizes teamwork, precise documentation, and adherence to infection control and safety guidelines. Evening, weekend, and peak hours shifts are available, with benefits that reward commitment and growth
Qualifications
- Active CNA certification per state regulations.
- High School Diploma/GED.
- Skilled nursing or senior care experience preferred.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to remain calm in challenging situations.
- Flexible availability for evenings, weekends, and peak service times.
Responsibilities
- Deliver care based on Individualized Service Plans (ISP)
- Assist with ADLs including bathing, dressing, mobility, dining, and toileting
- Obtain and report vital signs, intake, and changes in condition
- Partner with licensed nurses on restorative and care planning programs
- Support fall prevention, skin care, and quality improvement initiatives
- Maintain accurate documentation and restorative records
- Respond promptly to resident, family, and visitor concerns
- Follow infection control, OSHA, and safety guidelines at all times
