Job summary

Project 180 seeks a Resident Aide (Certified Nursing Assistant/Medical Assistant) to support Interim Housing clients. You will help residents increase independence in daily living activities, provide compassionate care, and ensure a safe, therapeutic environment at Kohler House, with a Friday–Sunday 10:00 am–6:30 pm schedule.

The role requires a valid CNA or MA credential, experience with diverse populations, and the ability to transport clients if needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with increasing independence in activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Teach ADL-related skills: medication management, personal hygiene, problem solving, prosocial communication, cooking and cleaning.
• Accompany clients to access community resources as needed.
• Ensure housing site is safe and healthy; facilitate meals and hygiene item access.
• Act as a first responder to crises using de-escalation and problem-solving skills; escalate when necessary.
• Perform housekeeping tasks to maintain cleanliness and dignity (sweeping, disinfecting, changing linens, dishes, trash).
• Maintain stocked supplies and report repairs or reorder needs to Interim Housing Program Supervisor.
• Support the housing site in maintaining a therapeutic environment; encourage treatment participation and self-care tasks.
• Assist in coordinating events and recreational activities for clients.
• Maintain regular attendance; may work holidays/weekends; uphold agency mission and policies.
• Maintain active licenses/registrations as applicable (e.g., BBS, CCAPP).
