Job summary

LakeWood Health Center in Baudette, MN is seeking a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) to be a cornerstone of patient care, under RN direction, delivering compassionate basic care and assisting with patient transport as part of the interdisciplinary team. You will support the plan of care, maintain patient dignity and hygiene, assist with meals, bathing, toileting, and rehab techniques.

Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant or willing to obtain certification within six months.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by the American Heart Association.
• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills needed.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
• Ability to maintain high level of accuracy when documenting cares.

Responsibilities

• Maintains resident's dignity and provides privacy while delivering cares.
• Assists with mouth care, hair care, nail care on non-diabetics and for shaving residents.
• Assists with meals, tray service, feeds residents, nourishments, and fluids; keeps area tidy.
• Demonstrates knowledge of personal hygiene and provides bathing and pericare.
• Assists residents with toileting needs and follows bowel/bladder programs.
• Supports rehab techniques and maintains rehab appliances/equipment.
