Job description

Overview

The Restorative Nursing Assistant will provide residents with restorative and rehabilitative activities according to the treatment plan or Range of Motion (ROM) plan written by a Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, and/or Speech‑Language Pathologist. The Clinical Assistant is an expanded role for the Certified Nursing Assistant and functions as a member of the nursing staff, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse that focuses on performing functional tasks that maintain the orderliness of the nursing unit and contributes to the effective overall functioning of the clinical area.

Responsibilities

Assist residents with daily activities, including exercise, bathing, grooming, and nutrition, as outlined in individual care plans. Perform functional tasks such as repositioning, maintaining orderly unit environment, and supporting the nursing staff in delivering quality patient care.

Required Qualifications

• Successful completion of a state‑approved nursing assistant course.
• Upon hire: Alaska Nursing Assistant Certification License.
• Within 30 days of hire: National Provider BLS – American Heart Association.

Preferred Qualifications

• At least 6 months experience as a nurse aide, nursing assistant, or private caregiver.
