Providence is seeking a Restorative Nursing Assistant to assist residents with restorative activities per therapy plans. The role supports patient-focused care within a nursing team at Providence Valdez Medical Center.

This position requires completion of a state-approved CNA course, Alaska CNA certification, and BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire; preferred is 6 months as a nurse aide. Competitive benefits are offered for eligible staff.

The Restorative Nursing Assistant will provide residents with restorative/rehabilitative activities according to the treatment plan or Range of Motion (ROM) plan written by a Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, and/or Speech-Language Pathologist.

The Clinical Assistant is an expanded role for the Certified Nursing Assistant and functions as a member of the nursing staff, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse that focuses on performing functional tasks that maintain the orderliness of the nursing unit and contributes to the effective overall functioning of the clinical area.

Required Qualifications

• Coursework/Training: Successful completion of a state-approved nursing assistant course.
• Upon hire: Alaska Nursing Assistant Certification License
• Within 30 days of hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association

Preferred Qualifications

• 6 months as a nurse aide, nursing assistant or private care giver.

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.

Pay Range: $22.05 - $33.74
