Job summary

Providence Valdez Medical Center is seeking a Restorative Nursing Assistant to deliver restorative/rehabilitative activities to residents per the specified treatment plans.

Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, you will perform functional tasks to keep the nursing unit orderly and support the clinical team, contributing to patient-focused, whole-person care.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of a state-approved nursing assistant course.
• Alaska Nursing Assistant Certification License at hire.
• Within 30 days of hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

The Restorative Nursing Assistant will provide residents with restorative/rehabilitative activities according to the treatment plan or Range of Motion (ROM) plan written by a Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, and/or Speech-Language Pathologist.

The Clinical Assistant is an expanded role for the Certified Nursing Assistant and functions as a member of the nursing staff, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse that focuses on performing functional tasks that maintain the orderliness of the nursing unit and contributes to the effective overall functioning of the clinical area.

Required Qualifications

• Coursework/Training: Successful completion of a state-approved nursing assistant course.

• Upon hire: Alaska Nursing Assistant Certification License

• Within 30 days of hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association

Preferred Qualifications

• 6 months as a nurse aide, nursing assistant or private care giver.

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors.
