Providence Kodiak Island Medical Center in Alaska is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to support the Long Term Care department and other units. You will assist residents with activities of daily living and life engagement in a home-like setting, providing both nursing and household support.

Our role emphasizes patient-focused, whole-person care. Alaska Nursing Assistant Certification and BLS within 30 days are required; there are multiple part-time shifts and on-site work in Kodiak.

Qualificações

• Alaska Nursing Assistant Certification license required.
• BLS from American Heart Association within 30 days of hire.
• 12 hours of in-service training annually.

Description

The Certified Nursing Assistant provides a wide verity of clinical and clerical support to the Long Term Care department and other departments in accordance with Providence philosophy, objectives, policies, procedures and standards. The Certified Nursing Assistant performs basic provides routine nursing and household duties/tasks to promote a resident directed model of care in the home-like setting. These duties/tasks center around the residents by assisting them in all activities of daily living and life engagement.

Required Qualifications:

• Coursework/Training: Must complete twelve (12) hours of in-service training annually to maintain certification.
• Upon hire: Alaska Nursing Assistant Certification License
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association within 30 days of hire

Preferred Qualifications:

• 6 months experience as a nurse aide, nursing assistant or private care-giver

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
