Job summary

Providence Kodiak Island Medical Center in Kodiak, AK is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to support nursing and physician staff and to assist in caring for patients with illnesses or injuries. This is a part‑time, on‑site role with a focus on patient privacy and dignity.

The position requires Alaska CNA certification upon hire, BLS within 30 days, and twelve hours of annual in‑service training. Preference given to candidates with 1 year of patient care experience.

Qualifications

• Alaska Nursing Assistant Certification required upon hire.
• BLS certification through American Heart Association within 30 days of hire.

Job description

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides support to Nursing and Physician staff by performing tasks that assist in the care and treatment of patients/residents with illnesses or injuries, taking into account the individual patient's physical or age-related needs. Transports patients and performs some clerical duties. Provides continuity of care while ensuring patient and resident privacy and dignity.

Required qualifications:
