Good Samaritan in Canistota, SD is hiring a Nursing Assistant (NA) to provide resident-centered care under RN supervision. You will assist with daily living activities, monitor health needs, and help maintain a safe, supportive environment for residents in our long-term care setting.

The role requires CNA certification or active enrollment, high school diploma or GED, and a willingness to participate in ongoing training and state registry requirements.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED preferred but not required.
• Minimum age of 16.
• CNA certification with State Board required or in process within 4 months.
• CNA training and certification provided by facility.
• Annual competency testing and 12 hours continuing education required.
• For applicable states, certified and registered with UAP Registry.
• May classify as Sanford Category II Driver requiring a motor vehicle report and valid license.

Responsibilities

• The Nursing Assistant (NA) provides resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under RN supervision.
• Assists with bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, vital signs, and psychosocial support.
• Provides feeding assistance, mobility support, and documentation of resident interactions.
