Job summary

CommonSpirit Health in Colorado Springs is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for a full-time night shift at St. Francis Nursing Center. You will deliver direct and indirect patient care under supervision of a Registered Nurse, supporting the care team and patient-centered goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of a Nursing Assistant Program.
• State CNA license required.
• BLS certification required (American Heart Association).
• Six months of CNA/healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides quality patient care, including comfort, hygiene, and safety.
• Promptly answers call lights and reports patient status changes to the RN.
• Documents vital signs, input/output, nutrition, and care in patient records.
• Assists with delegated patient care tasks under nurse supervision.
• Delivers person-centered care with teamwork and respect.
• Communicates hazards or errors to the health care team.

Job Summary And Responsibilities

As our Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), you will provide essential direct and indirect nursing care under the proficient direction of a Registered Nurse, aligning with established policies and procedures to optimize your skills and contribute to our patient-centered mission.

• Provides quality patient care, including comfort and hygiene measures, preventative skin care, safety measures, transport, and nutritional and elimination needs.
• Promptly answers call lights and responds to patient needs. Reports patient status changes and needs to Registered Nurse accurately and in a timely manner.
• Accurately documents vital signs, input/output, nutritional intake, personal hygiene, weights, and other patient care performed and reports findings promptly to Registered Nurse; maintains thorough and confidential maintenance of patient charts and records.
• Assists with safe and appropriate delegated patient care tasks which are directly supervised by the nurse.
• Provides person-centered care with sensitivity and respect for the human experience in a collaborative fashion with other team members.
• Communicates concerns regarding hazards or errors related to patients to the health care team.

Job Requirements

Required

Preferred

• Six (6) months previous CNA or healthcare experience.

Pay Range

$18.15 - $28.13 /hour
