Job summary

St. Francis Nursing Center in Colorado Springs is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide direct and indirect patient care under the guidance of a Registered Nurse, adhering to policies to support our patient-centered mission.

The role requires completion of a CNA program, state CNA license, high school diploma or GED, and BLS certification. This is a full-time day shift in a 24-hour skilled nursing facility, with a collaborative team and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/G.E.D.
• Graduate of a Nursing Assistant Program
• State registered CNA license
• BLS (American Heart Association)

Responsibilities

• Provides quality patient care, including comfort and hygiene measures, preventative skin care, safety measures, transport, and nutritional and elimination needs.
• Promptly answers call lights and responds to patient needs. Reports patient status changes and needs to Registered Nurse accurately and in a timely manner.
• Accurately documents vital signs, input/output, nutritional intake, personal hygiene, weights, and other patient care performed and reports findings promptly to Registered Nurse.
• Maintains thorough and confidential maintenance of patient charts and records.
• Assists with safe and appropriate delegated patient care tasks which are directly supervised by the nurse.
• Provides person-centeredcare with sensitivity and respect for the human experience in a collaborative fashion with other team members.
• Communicates concerns regarding hazards or errors related to patients to the health care team.
