Job summary

Kindred Hospital Chicago - Northlake seeks a Certified Nursing Assistant to support nursing staff in patient care, activities of daily living, and emotional support. You will assist with positioning, feeding, hygiene and basic treatments under RN supervision.

The role requires reading, writing and speaking fluent English, good attendance and strong communication. On-site position with competitive benefits and a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Must read, write and speak fluent English.
• Must have good and regular attendance.
• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Able to organize tasks, develop action plans, set priorities and function under stressful situations.

Responsibilities

• Consult with supervisor and keep informed of unit activities, needs, and problems related to patient care.
• Provide general nursing care including positioning, feeding, personal care, and assisting in activities of daily living.
• Take and record vitals and document timely.
• Prepare patient room for admission and transfers and maintain cleanliness of room.
• Assist in admission, transfer, and discharge procedures and handle patient belongings.
