Job summary

Kindred Hospital St. Louis South is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to support professional nursing staff in an acute/long-term care setting. You will assist with activities of daily living, monitor patients, and help maintain a clean, safe environment for recovery.

The role requires fluent English, good attendance, and reliable teamwork. You will document observations, assist with admissions and transfers, and respond to call lights under supervision.

Qualifications

• Must read, write and speak fluent English.
• Must have good attendance.
• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Able to organize tasks and work under pressure.
• Experience in acute or long-term care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Consult with supervisor about unit activities and patient care.
• Provide general nursing care and assist with activities of daily living.
• Record vital signs and document findings promptly.
• Prepare patient rooms and equipment for admission and transfers.
• Assist with admissions, transfers and discharge procedures.
• Answer call lights and respond to patient needs.
• Assist with routine treatments under RN direction.
• Assist with restraints and patient positioning.
• Support feeding and meal tray delivery.
