Job summary

High Point Residence Kankakee is seeking compassionate CNAs to join our memory care expansion. This full-time role offers 12-hour day or night shifts in a growing senior living community in Kankakee, IL, with every-other weekend requirements.

You will provide hands-on care, assist with daily living activities, monitor vital signs, and collaborate with nurses to promote dignity, independence, comfort, and quality of life for residents living with memory loss.

Qualifications

• Current and valid Illinois CNA certification in good standing.
• Active status on the Illinois Department of Public Health Healthcare Worker Registry.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Completion of an approved nursing assistant training program.
• Ability to safely perform the physical requirements of the position, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Current CPR certification preferred; recently expired CPR certifications are accepted.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal care.
• Support residents during meals and provide feeding assistance as needed.
• Take and accurately record vital signs.
• Assist with transfers, repositioning, and mobility.
• Respond promptly and compassionately to resident call lights and requests.
• Observe residents and promptly report changes in condition or concerns to the nursing team.
• Maintain clean, safe, and comfortable resident environments.
• Assist with linen changes and restocking resident care supplies.
• Work collaboratively with nurses, leadership, and other members of the care team.
• Follow resident care plans and direction provided by the Wellness Director or nursing supervisor.
• Provide compassionate support tailored to the unique needs of residents living with memory loss.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
