Job summary

Indian Valley Vocational Center seeks a CNA Instructor to teach high school students (11th and 12th grade) and impact their future in healthcare. The instructor will deliver current curriculum and supervise students in clinical settings, using modern technology to enhance learning.

The position requires an RN with two years of nursing experience, and a valid CPR/First Aid/AED certification (or ability to obtain). Strong collaboration with staff and community partners is essential.

Qualifications

• Must be a registered nurse with two years of nursing experience.
• Ability to use technology in the educational setting.
• Current CPR/First Aid/AED certification (or ability to obtain). CPR Trainer preferred.

Responsibilities

• Instruct, train, evaluate and monitor students while delivering current curriculum and competency based skills.
• Coordinate hands-on skills training and industry certification testing.
• Provide a safe and open learning environment for the students.
• Assist in the development and delivery of instructional guides, lesson plans, training aids and reference materials utilizing modern technology.
• Establish and maintain a professional and positive working relationship with students, parents, school counselors, staff and the general public.

This position is a rare opportunity to join an exciting team. Indian Valley Vocational Center is seeking a dynamic team player interested in making an impact in the lives of students as the CNA Instructor. The CNA Instructor is responsible for teaching high school students (11 and 12th grade).

Required

• An Instructor must be a registered nurse with two years of nursing experience.
• Ability to use technology in the educational setting.
• Current CPR/First Aid/AED certification (or ability to obtain). CPR Trainer preferred.

Preferred

• Associate's Degree/Diploma in Nursing/Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Experience working and supervising students in a classroom setting. Experience working with high school students in developing their knowledge and skill to be employed in the healthcare
• industry or to continue to post-secondary education.

Responsibilities:

• Ability to build and foster partnerships within the community and promote Career and Technical Education programs.
• Supervise and support students in the clinical setting. .
• Assist in the development and delivery of instructional guides, lesson plans, training aids and reference materials utilizing modern technology.

• Maintain overall personal health to support physical demands of position.
