Bassett Healthcare Network in New York is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to perform resident care activities and support licensed staff. You will observe residents, report changes, assist with ADLs, meals, and mobility, and help maintain a safe, comfortable unit while ensuring accurate documentation and timely tasks.

The role requires NYS CNA certification and at least one year of long-term care experience, with a focus on compassionate patient-centred care.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED preferred.
• Minimum one-year long-term care experience preferred.
• NYS CNA certification required.

Responsabilités

• Observes and reports resident status changes.
• Answers call lights and attends to needs.
• Obtains weights, vital signs and reports results.
• Prioritizes and organizes work within time frames.
• Completes Intake/Output monitoring as appropriate.
• Obtains specimens and prepares them for lab transport.
• Assists residents with ADLs, meals, and mobility while encouraging participation.
• Maintains a clean, patient-friendly unit and supports admissions/transfers.
• Provides PROM/AROM and ambulation as appropriate.
• Operates equipment safely and follows care procedures.
